A list of 100 books recommended for teenagers and children was released on Thursday by the state press authority, ahead on International Children's Day on Sunday.

The titles, including educational ones on "Chinese Dream" and original literary works, stood out from about 1,300 competitors this year, according to the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television (SAPPRFT).

A list consisting of 60 magazines and newspapers was also announced by the SAPPRFT on Thursday.

The administration plans to nurture a quality reading atmosphere for teenagers and children by organizing various activities centering on these titles.

The recommendations follow a clean-up campaign by the SAPPRFT and four other government organs in last September. Endi
