The Chinese version of the Disney musical "The Lion King" will be staged at the yet-to-be completed Shanghai Disney Resort, sources said on Friday.
The Chinese-speaking musical, which will stay true to the original English version, will be performed at the 1,200-seat Walt Disney Theater in the resort, according to Mike Crawford, the resort's general manager.
The show will recruit local actors this summer, Ke said.
The first Disney resort on the Chinese mainland will boast two themed hotels, a large retail, dining and entertainment venue and an array of recreation facilities, and has been designed to incorporate Chinese elements as well as Disneyland traditions.
Scheduled to open at the end of 2015, the resort is a joint venture between the Walt Disney Company and the Shanghai Shendi Group. Endi
