Chinese State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Guo Shengkun met with Malaysian Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi on Monday as they pledged to boost law-enforcement and security cooperation.

Guo said the two sides have maintained good cooperation in various fields such as telecommunications fraud, drug control, entry and exit administration, arrest and repatriation of criminal suspects and response to emergency incidents.

Guo said he hopes both sides will improve pragmatic anti-terrorism cooperation in order to maintain national security and social stability, as well as helping people live and work in peace.

Zahid said Malaysia will make joint efforts with China to promote bilateral law-enforcement cooperation. Endit
