Colombian police dismantled here on Monday an illegal organization dedicated to printing counterfeit currencies, seizing 3.7 million U.S. dollars worth of fake money.

According to a National Police report, the operation was conducted along with Europol, the European Union law enforcement agency, and the United States Secret Service in one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Bogota.

The police also captured five people, including the ring leader, along with the fake money, which included 2.3 million euros, 1.1 million U.S. dollars and 11 million Colombian pesos (around 3,600 US dollars).

Six registers, seven printers and all kinds of supplies needed for counterfeiting bills, such as holograms, security threads, inks and paper were also seized in the raid. Endi
