The Beijing Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning on Monday announced one more imported yellow fever case, making a total of four in the capital.
The patient, a 50-year-old man from southeast China's Fujian Province, began running a fever in Angola on March 6, and had sought treatment in several local hospitals.
He had not been vaccinated before going to Angola and informed Beijing Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau of his arrival on March 18. He tested positive for yellow fever at Beijing Capital International Airport and was sent to hospital. His condition was described as "serious."
Beijing had reported three imported yellow fever cases since March 13, all returnees from Angola.
