Chinese law enforcement agencies are required to provide education on laws for staff and the general public.
Those who enforce the law must bear the responsibility of education on the law, according to a document issued by the general offices of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and the State Council Wednesday.
Law enforcement agencies should explain the laws and regulations to the public while handling present issues in education, environmental protection, food safety and healthcare, said the document.
It asked such agencies to give professional responses to current issues and discussions on the Internet.
Authorities should solicit public opinion while drafting new regulations and explain them in plain language when adopted, it said.
It also specified the responsibilities of the legislature, judicial authorities and other public institutions in disseminating the laws. Endi
