Political advisors call for sound cyber environment

BEIJING, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- China's political advisors on Thursday called for creating a sound cyber environment at a bi-weekly consultation session.

Yu Zhengsheng, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, chaired and addressed the meeting.

The advisors suggested that the leadership of the Communist Party of China should be strengthened so that web users, especially juveniles, can enjoy a better Internet environment.

They also put forward proposals including measures to promote online information disclosure and sharing, support the integration between traditional media and new media, develop more Internet rules and regulations, as well as improve and invest in core technology.

Advisors discussed topics on safely access the Internet among juveniles, international communication through the Internet, and Internet finance management.
