SHANGHAI, March 25 (Xinhua) -- Shanghai will increase its statutory minimum wage from 2,420 yuan (360 U.S. dollars) to 2,480 yuan per month from April 1, making it the one of the highest in the country, local authorities said Monday.

The hourly minimum wage will be increased from 21 yuan to 22 yuan, according to the municipal human resources and social security department.
