NANJING, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) -- NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo said on Sunday that he will do whatever it takes to help Greece win over Team USA if they meet in the coming days.

"It's a great win today. Our coach did a good job. Obviously it's a dream come true that I can play with my brother in the World Cup," Antetokounmpo said after Greece beat Montenegro 85-60 in their first group match.

"But I'm not the most important guy in the team. Many guys can contribute a lot to the team," he added.

After winning over Montenegro on Sunday, Greece is likely to advance from Group F to meet Team USA and play against some of his teammates in the NBA.

"You can ask the whole team. We really do not think about Team USA. We will focus on the game with Brazil, and what we can do better. Team USA is really far away. We'll take the tournament game by game," Antetokounmpo said.

"I respect those players and if we really meet I will do what I can do to help my teammates win. Play defense or rebound the ball or whatever the coach wants me to do. That's what I will do," he said.

Greece is scheduled to play against Brazil on Tuesday, with Antetokounmpo confronting more current and former NBA players. Enditem
