Henan Jianye's Bassogog tests positive for COVID-19

ZHENGZHOU, July 31 (Xinhua) -- Christian Bassogog of the Chinese Super League (CSL) side Henan Jianye has tested positive for COVID-19, the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission has revealed on Saturday.

According to the commission, Bassogog left his home country of Cameroon on July 13 and arrived in Guangzhou on July 15.

During his mandatory isolation period, he tested positive for COVID-19 and was transferred to a Guangzhou hospital for treatment.

The 24-year-old joined Henan Jianye in 2017 and made 25 appearances during the 2019 CSL season, scoring eight goals and laying on six assists. Enditem
