Liaoning beats Shanxi for sixth straight win in CBA

ZHUJI, China, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- The Liaoning Flying Leopards eased past the Shanxi Loongs 125-110 here Saturday evening to extend their winning streak in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league to six.

O.J. Mayo notched a game-high 29 points, Guo Ailun had 27 points and five assists, and Zhao Jiwei added 21 points, 10 assists and seven steals as Liaoning improved to a 20-2 record.

The CBA regular season leaders staged a 16-0 run in the second quarter for a 22-point lead. The Loongs fought back in the second half to cut their deficit to six points late in the third quarter, only to find Guo and Zhao combine to lead a 10-2 burst early in the fourth to help Liaoning pull away again.

Eric Moreland had 23 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists for Shanxi with Zhang Hanjun and Ge Zhaobao adding 18 and 17 points respectively. Enditem
