China's Shijiazhuang reports two new confirmed COVID-19 cases

SHIJIAZHUANG, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- Shijiazhuang, capital of north China's Hebei Province, reported two new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the first 12 hours of Wednesday, according to local authorities.

The two confirmed cases were reported in the city's Gaocheng District, Meng Xianghong, vice mayor of Shijiazhuang, said at a press conference, adding that no asymptomatic cases were reported in the period.

As of Wednesday noon, the city had reported 861 confirmed cases, of which 203 had been discharged from hospitals upon recovery. Enditem
