XI'AN, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- Lin Qianqi of Fujian province claimed the women's individual trampoline title, while Yan Langyu of Hunan bagged the men's gold at China's National Games here on Monday.
Lin, who led the qualification, received an unparalleled 56.125 points with an execution score of 16.00 in the final.
"Winning the gold medal is a surprise to me," said the 20-year-old. "Before the Games, all I did was just being fully devoted to the preparation and enjoyed the whole process of the event."
Li Dan of Guangdong finished second in 55.190 points. Liu Lingling, who took the women's trampoline silver at Tokyo 2020, made the same difficult routine in 15.00 as Lin, but ranked third by 0.3 points short of Li due to a horizontal displacement.
In the men's event, Yan, who topped the qualification, kept his form in the final to beat Tokyo silver medalist Dong Dong for the title in 61.660 points, with an advantage of 0.915 points for the time of flight.
"I had a lapse on Sunday, but I quickly adjusted and stayed concentrated in the execution on Monday. I'm younger than Dong, that might be the reason why I could score a higher points in the time of flight," said Yan. "I will make more efforts to prepare for more competitions in October and November."
Dong finished second by scoring 60.945 points, and Wang Xiaoyin of Jiangsu placed third with 59.720. Enditem
