SHANGHAI, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- Crude oil futures closed higher Friday in daytime trading on the Shanghai International Energy Exchange.
The most active crude oil contract for April 2022 delivery was up 10.4 yuan (about 1.6 U.S. dollars) to close at 612.3 yuan a barrel.
The price of the April 2022 contract erased some gains after once hitting the historic high of 637 yuan (about 100.6 U.S. dollars) a barrel during the nighttime trading session on Thursday.
Recently global crude oil prices experienced bigger fluctuations over geopolitical factors.
The total trading volume for ten listed crude oil futures contracts on the exchange was 340,141 lots, with a turnover of about 210.62 billion yuan.
