BEIJING, July 17 (Xinhua) -- The following is a summary of published science and technology news of China.
TIANZHOU-3 CARGO CRAFT
The Tianzhou-3 cargo craft, carrying supplies for China's space station, separated from the orbiting station combination at 10:59 a.m. Sunday (Beijing Time), after completing all assigned tasks, according to the China Manned Space Engineering Office.
At present, the Tianzhou-3 cargo craft is in good condition and will re-enter the atmosphere under ground control in the future, said the engineering office.
HUMAN GENOME
Scientists have unveiled a Late Pleistocene human genome from southwest China. Their findings were published online in the journal Current Biology on Thursday night.
The scientists conducted the genome sequencing of the 14,000-year-old human remains of the "Mengzi Ren (MZR)," which were unearthed in 1989 in a cave in Mengzi, Yunnan Province. More than 30 human fossils, as well as fossils of animals such as the red deer, the macaque and the black bear, were discovered in the cave.
5G CONVENTION
The 2022 World 5G Convention will be held from August 10 to 12 in Harbin, the capital of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, the event organizers said.
The event aims to bring together the latest achievements and viewpoints of 5G development in the world, draw a blueprint for a global system of science and technology as well as industrial cooperation, and build a platform for the close integration of the 5G innovation chain, industrial chain, and supply chain.
