BEIJING, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) -- Guangzhou City kept their revival after Li Weifeng was appointed as head coach, with Ye Chugui's brace helping them thrash Hebei FC 4-0 in the Chinese Super League (CSL) on Saturday.

The struggling Hebei side had suffered a 14-game losing streak before the match, but something worse arrived.

Hebei defender Liu Runnan substituted injured goalkeeper Bao Yaxiong in the 31st minute, and the short-handed side paid for it.

Guangzhou City dominated the field with Ye's goals before the break and in the 72nd minute. 21-year-old Liu was beaten by Guangzhou's Gui Hong in the 77th minute, and Song Wenjie rounded off a counter-attack in the stoppage time to sink Hebei.

Li's side is still in the relegation zone while having secured 12 points over the past seven games.

A brilliant finish by Cheng Changcheng in the 32nd minute earned under-pressure Changchun Yatai a 1-0 victory over Meizhou Hakka, its first win over the past four matches.

Elsewhere, Beijing Guoan routed Guangzhou FC 4-1, Cangzhou Mighty Lions overcame Shanghai Shenhua 2-1, Chengdu Rongcheng beat the league's leader Wuhan Three Towns 1-0, Henan Songshan Longmen won over Shenzhen FC 2-0, and Zhejiang FC beat Tianjin Jinmen Tigers 2-1. Enditem
