BEIJING, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- A 7.6-magnitude earthquake struck waters off Mindanao island in southern Philippines at 10:37 p.m. Saturday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter was monitored at 8.65 degrees north latitude and 126.45 degrees east longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 40 km, said the CENC. Enditem
