BEIJING, Sept. 23 (Xinhua) -- The following is a summary of published science and technology news of China.

SPACE FOOD

China has advanced precision nutrition control technology and built accurate standards for space flight nutritional supplies that can help astronauts address physiological issues caused by weightlessness and radiation and stay healthy during missions lasting over 180 days, according to the Second Frontier Forum of Space Medicine held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.

DIGITAL PUBLISHING

The scale of China's digital publishing industry reached 1.618 trillion yuan (about 228.89 billion U.S. dollars) in 2023, up 19.08 percent year on year, according to an annual report issued by the Chinese Academy of Press and Publication during the 14th China International Digital Publishing Expo in the city of Haikou, Hainan Province.

JADE DRAGON STUDY

Chinese archaeologists have unearthed the largest jade dragon ever discovered from the Hongshan culture, an important part of the Neolithic Age, at a stone tomb site in the city of Chifeng, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

The ongoing research at the site includes studies of the ancient environment, large-scale topographic mapping and carbon-14 dating, among others. Enditem
