BEIJING, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) -- Fourth-seeded American Coco Gauff beat Karolina Muchova of the Czech Republic 6-1, 6-3 to win the women's singles title at the China Open on Sunday.

20-year-old Gauff sealed the victory in one hour, 16 minutes with an 84.8 percent of first serve points won.

"It was a tough tournament. I am really happy with how I managed to play today. I was super relaxed going in and just telling myself in the whole match I was able to work on things that I have been practicing on and stick to it," Gauff noted.

"I had some rest since the US Open. I just practiced a little bit and picked up pretty fast with the match," said Muchova. "She [Gauff] served really good. It was actually one of the worst matches that I played here. She pushed me and made me do those errors."

Both Gauff and Muchova will continue their China tour at the Wuhan Open next week. "I have played three days in a row. Tomorrow is a travel day, then another match on Tuesday. It is just very tough and challenging for anyone if I wanted to win in Wuhan," said Muchova.

Also on Sunday, Italian pair Jasmine Paolini and Sara Errani clinched a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Chinese Taipei's Chan Hao-Ching and Veronika Kudermetova of Russia in the women's doubles final.

"I think we did a great job. We tried to stay there every point. We put so much effort this year to play doubles, so we are just happy. It's always special to win a tournament, especially 1000," Paolini said after the match. Enditem
