BEIJING, Oct. 14 (Xinhua) -- Nearly 400 green and low-carbon companies are listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, with a combined worth surpassing 6 trillion yuan (about 848.38 billion U.S. dollars), the bourse said on Monday.

These companies make up 20 percent of the exchange's total market value, the bourse said.

In a push for sustainability, a total of 935 firms, accounting for about 35 percent of those listed on the bourse, have stepped up to publish their 2023 social responsibility reports or Environment, Society and Corporate Governance (ESG) reports so far this year.

By the end of last month, the bourse has issued 21.6 billion yuan in sustainability-themed exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

The bourse said it will continue to expand green finance products, and build a stronger finance system to attract more patient capital for sustainable development. Enditem
