BEIJING, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed lower on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.53 percent to 3,452.3 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.66 percent lower at 11,161.7 points.
The combined turnover of the two markets exceeded 2.68 trillion yuan (about 375.39 billion U.S. dollars), down from 2.5 trillion yuan recorded on the previous trading day.
High-tech and semiconductor stocks led the gains, while property shares suffered major losses.
The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, lost 1.24 percent to close at 2,321.59 points. Enditem
