BEIJING, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) -- Sichuan Blue Whales power forward Li Jinxiao has led the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league's Most Improved Player standings after the first 24 rounds of the 2024-25 season, data from the league's governing body has shown.

Since joining Sichuan on loan from the Zhejiang Lions, Li has witnessed a leap in personal stats this season. The 27-year-old has played 18 games by the 24th round, with an average of 12.4 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists, all career-highs, in 34.7 minutes of action per game.

Moreover, Li nailed 2.2 shots from distance on average with a shooting percentage of 38.8%. His average points and rebounds both ranked first among domestic players in Sichuan, while his blocks per game led the entire team.

Sichuan currently ranks 16th in the 20-team CBA standings with a win-loss record of 7-19.

Jilin Northeast Tigers shooting guard Luan Licheng and Shenzhen Leopards power forward Wang Haoran ranked second and third respectively in the standings. Enditem
