BEIJING, Jan. 6 (Xinhua) -- Xu Zuo, former deputy general manager of the CITIC Group, has been arrested on suspicion of receiving bribes and operating the same business as that of the company where he held office, according to an official statement.
The case was handed over to prosecutors for examination and prosecution following the conclusion of an investigation by the National Commission of Supervision, the Supreme People's Procuratorate said in the statement on Monday.
Xu, also a former member of the group's Party committee, was previously expelled from the Communist Party of China and dismissed from public office in December 2024. He was placed under investigation in June 2024.
