ALMATY, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- The World Bank has confirmed its gross domestic product (GDP) growth forecast for Kazakhstan at 4.7 percent in 2025 and 3.5 percent in 2026, which affirmed the bank's projections in October.

According to the latest Global Economic Prospects report published on Thursday, Kazakhstan's economy grew by 4 percent in 2024, down from 5.1 percent in 2023.

The World Bank also forecasts that Central Asian economies will expand by 5 percent in 2025 and 4.2 percent in 2026. Increased oil production is expected to support Kazakhstan's economic recovery and drive growth. Enditem
