Hu, Fogg named CBA Players of the Week

BEIJING, Jan. 19 (Xinhua) -- Zhejiang Lions power forward Hu Jinqiu and Liaoning Flying Leopards point guard Kyle Fogg have been named Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) Players of the Week.

Hu led Zhejiang to three wins over the past week with an average of 19.3 points and nine rebounds in 30 minutes of playing time per game. He shot 64.9% from the field and made all eight free throws during the stint.

With Hu's contributions, Zhejiang has been riding on a nine-game winning streak and currently leads the 20-team CBA table with a 28-4 win-loss record.

Fogg helped Liaoning notch two wins from three matches this week, posting an all-around stat of 35.7 points, four rebounds, four assists, 3.3 steals and one block in 35 minutes of action per game. He drilled 4.3 shots from 3-point range a game and averaged 10 free throws made with a shooting percentage of 90.9% in the three matches.

On Tuesday, Fogg scored 32 points as defending champions Liaoning snapped the Shanghai Sharks' 16-game winning streak. Liaoning sits fourth in the standings with a 22-10 record. Enditem
