BEIJING, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- Beijing Guoan head coach Quique Setien said he was satisfied with his players' positive attitude toward his style of play during their recent preseason training.
The Beijing club released a video on Monday featuring Setien summing up his players' performances at their three-week training camp in Haikou, in south China's Hainan Province.
"I saw many positive things in the team. I am happy to see the players understood my ideas and put them into action," he said. "Admittedly, the team still needs to improve both in attack and defense.
"The attitude and capabilities the players displayed are very positive. We are moving forward on the right track," Setien added.
The former Barcelona head coach said the squad will break for the Chinese Spring Festival holiday, which falls near the end of January, before heading to Thailand for another round of preseason preparations.
The 2025 Chinese Super League campaign is set to begin on February 22, when Beijing Guoan will play away against newly-promoted side Yunnan Yukun. Enditem
