BEIJING, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) -- Chinese second-tier club Dalian Kun City announced the arrival of veteran Zimbabwean player Nyasha Mushekwi amid rumors that their negotiations have broken down.

"On the morning of February 5, Mushekwi joined up with the team in Foshan after a journey of about ten hours," the Dalian club said in a statement.

"After a brief rest, he will take part in the team's preseason training in the best possible form," the statement added.

Dalian Kun City said in early January that it has secured the signing of Zimbabwean striker, but then reports circulated alleging that the two sides failed to reach an agreement due to contractual issues, which led to the departure of a senior club official.

Mushekwi played with Yunan Yukun last season. After the Yunnan club won promotion to the Chinese Super League, he chose to leave and join Dalian Kun City.

The Dalian team is now holding a training camp in Foshan, south China's Guangdong Province. Enditem
