BEIJING, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Super League (CSL) club Wuhan Three Towns has signed Romanian forward Alexandru Tudorie and Brazilian striker Gustavo Sauer.
Tudorie and Sauer are expected to form a formidable partnership to enhance the Wuhan side's firing power upfront, the CSL club said in a statement released on Sunday, without giving any details of their contracts.
The 28-year-old Romanian forward's former club, FC Petrolul Ploiesti of Romania, said last Wednesday that the transfer cost Wuhan 450,000 euros.
Head coach Filipe Martins, who took over Wuhan in mid-January, then indicated that he was seeking a winger who can speak Portuguese to partner Tudorie in attack.
"We now lack a winger, so we are trying to introduce one, preferably one who can speak Portuguese," he said.
Wuhan Three Towns, which finished 11th in the CSL last season, will play away to Chengdu Rongcheng in its season opener on February 22. Enditem
