BEIJING, March 2 (Xinhua) -- The suspended Chinese Super League (CSL) match between Qingdao West Coast and Wuhan Three Towns will resume from the point at which it was halted, Qingdao confirmed in a statement on Sunday.

The game, originally played on Sunday, was suspended after 17 minutes and 57 seconds due to torrential downpours that caused significant waterlogging on the pitch. At the time of the suspension, Qingdao West Coast was leading 1-0 through Abdul Aziz Yakubu's fourth-minute goal.

Earlier, the Chinese Professional Football League had announced that the match would be rescheduled for Monday, but did not specify whether it would resume from the point of suspension or be restarted entirely.

Qingdao West Coast later clarified the details in a brief statement, confirming that "the match will resume from the 17-minute and 57-second mark, with the venue remaining unchanged." Enditem
