BEIJING, March 3 (Xinhua) -- The high-quality development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is continuously enriching the dynamic practice of "one country, two systems," a spokesperson said on Monday.

Liu Jieyi, spokesperson for the third session of the 14th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference National Committee, told a press conference that the infrastructure for the "hard connectivity" of the Greater Bay Area city cluster has been further enhanced.

"Soft connectivity" continues to improve, with a series of measures offering convenience for the public and businesses being implemented one after another, Liu said, adding that the flow of people, goods, capital and data across the Greater Bay Area has become more efficient and convenient.

Last year, the number of mainland tourists visiting Hong Kong reached 34 million, while nearly 24.5 million visited Macao, representing year-on-year increases of approximately 27 percent and 29 percent, respectively, according to Liu. Enditem
