Macao starts 44th green week to promote environmental awareness

MACAO, March 15 (Xinhua) -- The 44th Macao Green Week began on Saturday, aiming to promote environmental awareness and conservation.
According to the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM), more than 40 themed activities will be held during this year's Green Week to help residents understand Macao's efforts in forest management, ancient tree preservation, and ecological conservation.
The IAM said that the weekend carnival at the Taipa Houses featured multiple themed booths, with organizations and groups from Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hengqin, and Macao showcasing ecological conservation efforts.
A plant giveaway event was also held, allowing residents to bring home a piece of greenery and promoting awareness of environmental protection.
