BEIJING, March 24 (Xinhua) -- More U.S. lawmakers and people from all walks of life are welcome to visit China and gain a better understanding of the country, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Monday.
The spokesperson made the remarks at a daily press briefing when asked to comment on remarks U.S. Senator Steve Daines made in an interview on his hope to arrange for a bipartisan delegation of senators to visit China later this year, after David Perdue becomes the U.S. ambassador to China.
"China welcomes more U.S. lawmakers and people from all walks of life to visit China and gain a better understanding of China to play a constructive role in promoting the steady, sound and sustainable development of China-U.S. relations," Guo said. Enditem
