BEIJING, April 15 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed mixed on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.15 percent to 3,267.66 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.27 percent lower at 9,858.1 points.
The combined turnover of these two indices stood at about 1.08 trillion yuan (roughly 149.8 billion U.S. dollars), down from 1.28 trillion yuan on the previous trading day.
Shares related to e-commerce, food and banking sectors emerged as the top gainers, while shares connected to economic potential of south China's Hainan Province, ports and rail transportation were among the biggest losers.
The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, lost 0.13 percent to close at 1,930.4 points. Enditem
