The Macao police have nabbed six suspects over casino
loan-sharking charges, Macao Post Daily reported
Wednesday.
The Macao Post Daily quoted police sources as saying
that a crime-prevention squad Tuesday detained the suspects at a
downtown coffee shop where they were found threatening a victim
over gambling debts.
The sextet has earlier offered the victim, a Hong Kong
resident,loans with a 10 percent "commission," the sources
said.
The suspects, four Hong Kongers and two Macao residents, have
run the loan-sharking racket in several local casinos for four
months, the sources were cited.
Further investigations are proceeding on the matter.
