Four people were confirmed dead and 15 others injured when a bus
bumped into a truck Thursday in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the local
government said Friday.
The bus carrying 19 people was en route from the Nandan county
seat to downtown Hechi, a city close to the regional capital of
Nanning, when it had a head-on collision with a heavy-duty truck on
National Highway No. 210 Thursday afternoon.
A spokesman of the Nandan county government said the bus driver
was overtaking a tractor and did not see the coming truck.
Three passengers died on the spot and all the others aboard the
bus were injured.
A fourth passenger died at the Nandan county hospital Thursday
night.
One more victim was still in danger after an operation
overnight, doctors at the hospital said Friday morning.
An investigation is going on.
