Over 80 journalists from 50 news services both at home and abroad are invited on a media tour in Shanxi on May 18, three months ahead of the First World Assembly of Jin Merchants.

The activity was part of the publicity efforts the organizing committee of the conference made for the event, which will kick off in Taiyuan on August 19 and aims to attract Shanxi Merchants from within China as well as overseas to invest in their home-province.

Journalists will be offered the chance to visit Taiyuan, Yangquan and Jinzhong of the province.

Shanxi, boasting abundant natural resources, has great prospects for development. Particularly, the province will be a pilot area for resource-based economic reform which is open to new talent and opportunities.
