北京东城区业余体育学校就培养了不少颇有前景的国球少年，中国乒乓球也正因此得以长盛不衰。在2004和2008年两届奥运会上共斩获四枚金牌的张怡宁就是从这里走出来的。
Dongcheng District Sports School in Beijing trains promising young amateur talent, helping to ensure China's table tennis reputation continues to flourish. Zhang Yining, four-time gold medalist at the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games was once trained at the school.
