世界最大太阳能飞机“阳光动力”2号于北京时间31日凌晨抵达重庆江北国际机场，正式开启中国旅程。太阳能飞机“阳光动力”2号于北京时间3月30日清晨从缅甸曼德勒起飞，本段航程由贝特朗·皮卡尔执飞，经过19小时连续飞行顺利降落在重庆。该飞机3月9日从阿联酋阿布扎比起飞，开始首次环球飞行，中国重庆是此次环球飞行的第五站。据介绍，由于天气原因，“阳光动力”2号太阳能飞机将在重庆停留，待天气好转后飞往南京航线。 
The Solar Impulse 2, the world's biggest solar-powered plane, lands at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport in Chongqing, southwest China, March 31, 2015.
