Yu Dayong, an employee of the company, whose family is in Shenzhen, has family reunion only in the weekend. "I value the opportunities and platforms in Hengqin very much. Although it is far from home, I have a lot to do here."

Zhu Linlang moved his family from Tianjin to Zhuhai shortly after securing his job in the company. He regards Hengqin as his second hometown. 

Yao Xiang feels sorry that he is too busy with his job to look after his two children and wife, who live in his wife's hometown far from Hengqin.

Li Daming finds a job in the company after graduating from the City University of Macau as the first post-doctor coming to work in Hengqin. He speaks highly of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao cooperation, and thinks Hengqin has important role to play in the process. 

He has settled in Hengqin now. "The construction of smart city in Hengqin provides him with broad space of development. Hengqin is improving its infrastructure facilities. The future is promising," Li said. 

Zhang Zichao, in his 20s, was born in Zhuhai. He came to Hengqin in March after working in Guangzhou for some time. "The pace of Hengqin is even faster than Guangzhou. We can use our ability and knowledge to build the island to serve the people," Zhang said, confident with his future here.

"I am honored that I am a constructor of Hengqin, and a witness of these changes," he added.
