千年太极 武当风华

11月29日,来自美国的杰克在玉虚宫练武。他2010年来到武当山,十四年来他从“洋弟子”成长为“洋教练”,并安家在武当山,向来自世界各地的人传授太极功法、分享对中国文化的感悟。太极拳是一种内外兼修、刚柔相济的中国传统拳法,是中国传统文化的结晶。武当太极拳以深厚的文化底蕴吸引了无数武术爱好者,据统计目前全球有150多个国家和地区的上亿人在练习太极拳,80多个国家和地区建立了太极拳组织,武当武术协会已在全球范围内相继建立了34家海外分会,每年有约3万名外国人不远万里来到武当山习武。[新华社记者 胡竞文 摄]

Tai Chi, a centuries-old Chinese martial art focusing on both internal and external practices, involves a series of slow, gentle movements and physical postures, a meditative state of mind, and controlled breathing. Statistics show that over 100 million people across more than 150 countries and regions practice Tai Chi, with about 30,000 foreigners traveling to the Wudang Mountain annually to learn and experience it.
