Hua was born in 1954 and now works as a civil servant. He is a member of the Jiangsu Photographers Association and was once elected "excellent student" of Beijing Photography Institute under the China Photographers Association. His work "Endless Pursuit" won the second place in a photo exhibition sponsored by the Shanghai Photographers Association. Another work of his, "Recording the Happy Moment," won third place in documentary photos at the 9th Shanghai International Photography Exhibition.
