Visitors may go to a folk art fair launched Wednesday in this
capital of Henan Province for a comprehensive understanding of
China's folk art.
Held at the provincial museum in Zhengzhou, the 20-day fair will
present 1,200 indoor and open-air programs featuring folk song,
dance and martial art performances, exhibitions of exquisite
handicrafts, and shows of ancient clothes and architecture.
The fair also includes exhibitions of fine works of local folk
art schools and shows of photos of folk customs, according to the
organizing committee.
Other features include a forum on preserving folk cultural
heritage and a display of China's traditional festival
utensils.
