The Macao Historic Center has been chosen as the shooting
location for Gung, a popular TV series in the Republic of
Korea (ROK), a press release said here on Tuesday.
The release issued by Macao's Information Bureau said the
Historic Center, gaining the entry into the World Heritage List in
2005, will present an attractive scene for the last episode of
Gung.
The series' production crew arrived here last Friday and has
started its week-long working.
Macao's Tourist Office, which sponsors the filming of the
series, believes that the popularity of the TV hit will help
promote Macao's tourism image, said the release.
Gung, a historic comedy, has been exported to many
Asian countries and regions, including the Chinese mainland,
Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia,
Vietnam, Singapore and Japan.
The Macao Historic Center, grouping a dozen of architectures
featuring a cultural combination of both Western and Eastern
characteristics, has long been a charming destination for world
tourists.
