About the seminar
The 2008 Seminar on Buddhist Studies in Foreign Languages opens in Shanghai on the morning of July 9, 2008. Over 100 Buddhists from HK, Macao, Taiwan and the mainland will attend the three-day seminar and 86 will make speeches.
Buddhism in China
Buddhism, the dominant religious philosophy in China, first arrived during the Han Dynasty and played a central role in Chinese culture and history.
