A Sino-Germany seminar on cooperation in agriculture-related environmental
protection technologies was recently held in Shijiazhuang, the capital
city of north China's Hebei Province.
At the seminar experts from both countries discussed the environmental
effects of intensive agricultural activities and corresponding countermeasures
as well as the environmental strategy project for intensive agriculture
in north China, which is an inter-government cooperation project
between China and Germany and is expected to take place from April
2001 to the end of March 2007.
According to agreements reached by both sides, under the cooperation
project Germany will provide technological assistance on environmental
and resources protection to benefit China's Hebei, Shandong and
Tianjin.
