Beijing Has Three Advantages in Olympic Bid: Canoe Officials

President of International Canoe Federation Urich Feldhoof said Beijing has done a good job in its preparation to bid for the Olympics during his recent visit to the Shunyi Olympic Aquatic Park and Beijing Transport Administration of the city.

He said that Beijing has three advantages in its bid. First Beijing has the best layout of the Olympic Village that will be a comfortable residence for the athletes. Noting that many IOC members had been athletes, he said that the Olympic Village will draw the most interest from them.

The second advantage of Beijing is that the Olympic venues are located close to each other, according to Feldhoof. He suggests that Beijing should emphasize this point in its presentation to the International Olympic Committee.

He noted that Beijing's bid has its strong support from the public, which comprises the third advantage. He is much impressed by Beijing citizens' aspiration for hosting the Olympic Games
