Jiangsu tasted sweet revenge over Dongguan, en route to set
up the league's scoring record this season 155-98, and the largest
margin.
The 57-point margin is also the largest of the season.
Five of Jiangsu's starters have all recorded double-doubles.
It's the first time that Dongguan were kept under one hundred
since they broke onto the CBA scene this season.
In other games, Beijing, Northern Conference leaders, extended
their winning streak to six after a 131-114 win over runners-up
Henan.
However, Beijing's star center Menk Bateer will be sidelined
during the next game for excessive fouls.
Bateer who won an NBA champions' title with San Antonio Spurs in
2003, clashed with his rival and was called on a fifth foul that
had sent him off the court.
The Beijing center was obviously unhappy with the decision and
was reported verbally abusive against the referee and was called
another foul.
Meanwhile, defending champions Guangdong also recorded a 12th
consecutive win this season, 130-85 against Shanghai.
Hosts Shanghai did not field in their star guard, Liu Wei, who
returned Wednesday morning after attending the Australian NBL
league All-star game.
