The "China Tibetan Cultural Week" is being held in Hong Kong from July 15 to 21 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Tibet Autonomous Region. The expansion and renovation works to the Potala Palace Square in Lhasa that started on March 20 should be completed by mid-July. Activities to be held in the renovated square are planned for the upcoming 40th anniversary of the founding of the Tibet Autonomous Region on September 1.
