A relic site in Guanghan County, 40 km from Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province, is catching more attention from overseas research institutions and archaeologists.
Recently, over 130 experts and scholars from the United States, Britain, France, Germany as well as China, gathered in the county to attend an international symposium to mark the 70th anniversary of the discovery of the site.
Various topics related to the relics were discussed at the symposium.
The site, covering an area of 12 square km, might be the ruin of the largest oriental city in the world. It dates back to between 2,875 and 4,070 years ago.
