The New Year's Eve Countdown Carnival, organized by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, will feature four hours of exciting and entertaining programs including pop star concert, laser show, nostalgic zone, fringe shows and other music performances.

A splendid laser show will be staged at midnight to greet the New Year, bringing amazing visual images to the audience. The carnival will also have a "Nostalgic Zone" to give Hong Kong people a retrospective of the territory over the century.

Apart from the highlights on the main stage, there will be a "Fringe Area" featuring local and overseas artists in a great variety of cultural performances.

At the "Children's Fun Corner," there will be various competitive games to test talent and intelligence, plus inflatable bouncing pools, bubble shows and funny feats by magicians and clowns.
